ORO questa volta vi propone una verticale di Tomatin, distilleria delle Highlands (fondata nel 1798) che negli anni ‘70 del XX secolo, durante l’era del boom dello Scotch Whisky, arrivò ad avere ben 23 alambicchi! Fu poi la prima distilleria scozzese, negli anni ‘80, a passare sotto l’egida giapponese sotto cui ancora risiede. Tanto per citare un altro primato, la Tomatin fu la prima a sostituire i vecchi metodi di mashing con il nuovo “Lauter Mash Tun” poi adottato anche da quasi tutte le altre realtà produttive. In questa verticale potrete godere, insieme agli imbottigliamenti ufficiali, di due versioni inusuali di Tomatin: un 12 anni distillato negli anni ‘80 e un single cask imbottigliato per l’importatore italiano Beija Flor.

This Time ORO is pleased to present you a Tomatin Highland Whisky Tasting. The distillery (founded in 1798)in the ‘70s of the XX century expanded his distilling equipment reaching the incredible number of 23 stills! Just a few years later was the first scottish distillery to go under the japanese control. Tomatin was even the first to install the Lauter Mashing Tun for the whisky production. In this vertical you will taste, together with the official bottlings, 2 unusual versions of Tomatin: one twelve years old from the ‘80s and a single cask bottled for the italian importer Beija Flor.
