BIOGRAPHY
Maurizio Moretti, pianist and orchestra conductor, is one of the Italian musicians which over the last years have gained great esteem in the international scene.
Throughout his career, spanning more than two decades, Maurizio Moretti has performed in the most famous European concert halls and has had regular tours in France, Spain, Germany, Austria and East Europe, with the most praised orchestra.
Born in Cagliari, he studied with Ida Allegretto at his home town Conservatory, and continued his formative career perfecting his art in the Parisian school of the great Aldo Ciccolini, who has written about him:
“an extraordinary rhythmical vitality, a special inborn musical treatment of sound and a great technical capacity characterize his pianism. He is surely one of the most talented and original exponents of Italian pianism”.
